Milestones
Founded 2021
We in the Soulmates ecosystem have launched the Green Innovation Academy (GIA),
an incubator of sustainable innovation focusing on the synergy between sustainability
and profitability.
We connect our expertise, those with bold ideas, those who have resources and those with specific needs.
Our Intention
We help accelerate the implementation of solutions
in sustainability. We critically analyse the startup’s potential
and work together with the founders to overcome the barriers, leading to the success of their vision. We incubate startups with real
and scalable impact without requiring any shares or financial compensation. Our aim is to build a functional community
of experts, startups, donors, academia and companies in Europe.
What we do
We support startups from the Czech Republic and the CEE region to implement their sustainable solutions on the international marketplace. Our focus is on these areas: air, water, energy, agriculture and food, mobility, circular economy, education and healthcare. We provide the founders with extensive expertise tailored to their needs.
Why we do it
Our efforts have been triggered by the market situation, where startups often fail through a lack of experience. Before launching Green Innovation Academy (GIA) we analysed over 200 projects. Based on this analysis, we have built a team
of recognised experts from various areas. The startup founders often find it difficult to afford such experts and don’t have
the necessary contacts.
How we incubate
During an intensive 6-month incubation period we look closely at each startup and introduce highly qualified experts able to advise on how to achieve market readiness. We analyse the project potential, then, depending upon the individual challenges, we formulate a strategy, create a business model and work on brand development and marketing. At the end of the incubation period emerges a startup with scalable MVP.
Where we are heading
Our goal in 2023 is to successfully incubate 20 – 30 purpose-profit driven (PPD) startups and become a leader
in the CEE region GIA is an organisation which applies a model of technological incubation for sustainability solutions and in doing so paves the way for a subsequent proliferation of investors
and accelerators in this area. We are building a community to foster the next generation of sustainability startups.
